Neville Hymus a well-known character from the community; a driving member of Crosby In Bloom, has begun the final phase of his and Crosby’s memorial to the fallen of WW1. The gardens depict the Battles, the trauma and the burdens on the home front.
The gardens which Neville and his friends at Crosby In Bloom have developed are located on the west of the Moor Lane Bypass Roundabout.
This Photo was taken just after the installation of the Metal works that recreate a famous contemporary image of blinded military people, gassed in the Battle of the Somme, walking arm in arm from the Battlefield.
