Moor Lane W.W.1. Commemoration Garden. Dedcication Service

Today Wednesday 9th Jul a dedication service was held at the “D Bed” adjacent to the Moor lane, Bypass, Northern Road, Moorland Avenue Roundabout. The service arranged by Mr & Mrs Tonkiss of Crosby In Bloom, Frances and John Quirk of Friends of Alexander & Coronation parks, the British legion and Sefton Council. Was celebrated by the Reverend John Ritson,  who’s previous appointment was as a Chaplain to the Armed Forces, Father John Furnival of St Peter & Paul’s and Cannon Peter Spiers of St Luke’s.

The commemorative display was organised, arranged and executed by former Green Howard, Mr Neville Hymus a local resident and leading member of “Crosby In Bloom”.  After the service was read the Last Post was sounded by the British legion Bugler alongside the Regional Standard Bearer who’s names I will add here on Thursday.
