Capacity, along with Sefton Council and the Social Stock Exchange, have collaborated to create the Sefton Social Investment Development Partnership, which will seek to:
- Develop a Social Investment and Framework for Sefton;
- Engage and develop the knowledge of key decision makers in Sefton Council including Senior Leadership and Members;
- Development of new ways of working and new models of finance and delivery for public sector commissioners;
- Preparation of Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprises to receive contracts and investment, and the development of the social enterprise pipeline.
The initial impact will be the development of several prototypes that demonstrate how social investment can help enable a more commercial approach to be taken by Sefton Council to either improve outcomes, reduce costs or create surpluses which can be reinvested into social purpose.
